Terms and Conditions
Please read carefully before reserving any item.
Reservation
A gown is officially reserved only when a deposit is paid and confirmed by Gown Republic staff. Inquiries via the website or social media are not yet a reservation until confirmation is sent.
Rental Period
The standard rental period is three (3) days. The default schedule is pickup the day before the event and return the day after. Extensions must be agreed in advance and may incur an additional fee.
Payment
A non-refundable rental fee plus a refundable security deposit is collected at pickup. The deposit is returned in full when the gown is returned on time and in the same condition.
Care During Rental
The customer is responsible for the gown during the rental period. Please:
- Avoid eating or drinking in the gown when possible
- Do not smoke while wearing the gown
- Do not apply perfumes, makeup, or hair products that can stain
- Do not attempt to alter, wash, dry-clean, or iron the gown
- Store hung in a cool, dry place when not in use
Damages
Normal wear is covered by the rental fee. The customer agrees to pay for repairs or replacement in case of:
- Stains that cannot be removed by professional cleaning
- Tears, cuts, or burns
- Missing beads, sequins, or trim
- Lost gown, accessories, or hangers
The cost will be deducted from the security deposit. If the cost exceeds the deposit, the customer agrees to settle the balance.
Late Return
Late returns are charged at a daily rate communicated at the time of reservation. If the gown is needed for another customer's event, urgent return is required.
Cancellation
- More than 1 week before the event: prepayments are fully refundable
- Within 1 week of the event: prepayments are non-refundable, but may be applied as credit toward a future rental within 6 months
Photo Use
We may share photos of customers in our gowns on our social channels with permission. If you prefer not to be featured, simply let us know.
Acceptance
By reserving a gown from Gown Republic, the customer accepts these terms.
